Since we've had little rain this year, I've noticed that when I water my plants and shrubs on or near my deck, I attract dragonflies and damselflies . :)
This is my Robin family. They still hang out together and in the evening fly over. One of them visited the deck tonight to get a snack before sundown.
Warren Zevon - "Werewolves Of London" lyrics
I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand
walkin through the streets of Soho in the rain.
He was lookin for the place called Lee Ho Fooks, gonna get a big dish of beef chow mein.
Aaahoo, werewolves of London
John Keats
The human seasons
FOUR Seasons fill the measure of the year;
There are four seasons in the mind of man:
He has his lusty Spring, when fancy clear
Takes in all beauty with an easy span:
He has his Summer, when luxuriously
Spring’s honey’d cud of youthful thought he loves
To ruminate, and by such dreaming high
Is nearest unto heaven: quiet coves
His soul has in its Autumn, when his wings
He furleth close; contented so to look
On mists in idleness—to let fair things
Pass by unheeded as a threshold brook.
He has his Winter too of pale misfeature,
Or else he would forego his mortal nature.

Joe Walsh - In The City
Somewhere out on that horizon
Out beyond the neon lights
I know there must be somethin' better
Just in a day dreaming kind of mood... staring at the sky and taking it all in.
grab a beer and some cracked corn.. put your webbed and human feet up.
once there is an opening at the feeder the chickadee will dart in - grab the seed - feast :-)
I flipped over to WETA and we were watching Wild America. The show was about Woodpeckers. Mary McDhui -tried really hard to 'find' the birds in her television.
